more info that i found out about the aftermath of that crash i told you about a few days ago:
"he got hit while riding in a crosswalk- a dangerous, yet entirely legal (in florida) maneuver. the guy who hit [him] while he was being a pedestrian got his windshield shattered. [the cyclist] got a 120something$ ticket and one of the above-mentioned goody bags. his is a pretty expensive slap bracelet.
this incident was a perfect example of FSUPD not knowing/caring about the law as it applies to motorists."
